byCHIN is Christopher Chin, a Tampa native who began DJing on Father's Day 2024 and made his public debut on January 9, 2026. His sound is built on groove and personality — funky, bouncy basslines with real bounce and character, wrapped in warm instrumentation and vocal hooks that give every set some soul. Playful at the core, grimy when the moment calls for it, but always locked into the funk and the bump.

byCHIN currently performs throughout St. Pete and the Tampa Bay area, playing not just for the crowd but for the connections made within it — strangers, friends, family, leaving the night a little or a lotta closer than they came in. Each set is approached as a conversation with the audience, not just a playlist, built around moments that matter the most. That approach has helped him build recurring venue relationships and residency opportunities throughout the region.

Alongside his own growth, byCHIN has worked to build a supportive community of DJs through mentorship, collaboration, and performance opportunities — helping developing artists strengthen their craft, whether they're chasing the stage professionally or just want to become more confident and capable behind the decks.

His sights are now set on earning festival support opportunities, performing beyond his home market of Tampa Bay, and continuing to develop his sound through original production in Ableton Live.
